Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for the coordination of division product needs with the Zone Architectural Services team.
What you will do:
- Prepares and manages individual house plans lot specific blueprints to ensure execution of permit submittals.
- Manage drawings in CAD related systems.
- Adheres to established QC process.
- Coordination of overall division planning.
- Manages and coordinates ARB submittal and approval process.
- Utilize common tool sets.
- Ensure development of compliant working drawings within the Division from both internal and external resources.
- Collaborate with purchasing and field personnel to reduce division B&M costs.
- Assist in maintaining Division permitting process and schedule templates.
- Assist management with permit schedules and construction activities to ensure production, quality and costs meet specifications.
- Assist with value creation field walks to establish new best practices and purchasing alignment.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or equivalent preferred (not required).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Minimum 3 or more years of Architectural or Construction experience.
- Software Skills – Word, Excel, and ACAD preferred, but not required. BIM software is a plus.
- Understanding of Federal & State codes related to residential product.
- Comprehensive knowledge of residential construction techniques, construction documents, building codes as well as technical and procedural knowledge of activities related to home building construction, including understanding plans & specs.
- Knowledge of structural elements and product installation means and methods.
- Knowledge of lean, value engineering and costing principles and practices a plus.
- Effective communication and organization skills.
